If you're Filipino like me, you know how much nostalgic memories a cup of taho holds. I remember my younger self waiting for the taho vendor to pass by our house so I can run after him with my own mug. I would always ask for more syrup and tapioca. Those were the simpler times.
Moving to Canada means no taho vendors. I gave in and decided that after seven years of not having my childhood favorite, it's time I make it myself.
It's actually easier than I anticipated. Arnibal or the syrup is just dark brown sugar caramelized with a tiny bit of water. The tapioca is pretty common and easy to find at any Asian grocers. And the silken tofu, just make sure you get the extra soft one and you're good to go.
